Mrs Sharon Barber R.A.D. TCH. DIP. Sharon Barber Principal was trained by Royal Academy examiners, Nancy Algar-Rowe in Tauranga and Creina Gee in Auckland, and further trained in Auckland at the Auckland Ballet Academy and in London at R.A.D. Headquarters, towards her teaching diploma and qualified in 1991. Mrs. Barber taught at the Auckland Ballet Academy in Remuera for four years before leaving to establish her own school as well as teaching part time at the Uxbridge Community Centre in Howick. Mrs. Barber attends courses in U.K. every second year. In 2010 she completed Level l Pilates mat work series.
Mr Ichiro Harada Ichiro Harada is a native of Nara, Japan. He graduated from Boston Conservatory with a BFA in Dance in 1994. He has danced with Doris Humphrey Repertoire Dance Company, Ballet Long Island and Geurah Abraham Dance Ensemble in New York and Lone Star Ballet in Texas. He established Ichiro Harada Dance Group in Sydney. As a choreographer his works have been performed in Japan, Australia, Russia, Korea and New York City including for the Estee Lauder Defining Beauty Award, Youth America Grand Prix final in New York City, Seoul International Ballet Composition final, Orlando Ballet School studio performance and Koriyama 50th Anniversary Dance Gala. He also wrote ‘Plie Monogatari’ an ongoing article about his life in the dance world for the Japanese newspaper in Australia. He has taught in Japan, Australia and New Zealand and is currently dance teacher at Howick College as well as teaching Contemporary and Advanced Ballet at Howick Dance Studio.
